Job summary

Rotherwood in the United Kingdom is seeking a reliable Part-Time On-Call Recruiter to support our busy Care Division across the weekend and into Monday morning. The role combines scheduled recruitment hours with managing the out-of-hours on-call phone to ensure a responsive service outside normal office hours.

The weekend shifts are partly home-based with some office-based hours on Friday and Monday, totaling 18 scheduled hours per week plus on-call coverage from 4:00pm Friday to 7:30am Monday.

Qualifications

• Previous recruitment, staffing, care coordination or similar experience.
• Excellent telephone and communication skills.
• A calm and professional approach when dealing with urgent situations.
• Strong organisation and time-management skills.
• Confidence using IT systems and maintaining accurate records.
• The ability to prioritise and problem-solve independently.
• A reliable and responsive approach to on-call responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Managing the out-of-hours on-call phone and responding to queries from clients and temporary workers.
• Supporting with last-minute staffing requirements and shift cover.
• Contacting available care workers to fill outstanding shifts.
• Responding to cancellations, absences and changes to bookings.
• Communicating professionally with clients and workers.
• Carrying out recruitment activity during your scheduled working hours.
• Speaking with candidates and progressing applications.
• Wider administrative tasks including advertising, updating social media, issuing and chasing timesheets.
• Updating candidate, client and booking information accurately.
• Completing relevant administrative tasks and handovers.
• Escalating urgent or sensitive issues when appropriate.
• Ensuring a clear handover to the wider Care team.
