Principal People is seeking a Construction Health & Safety consultant to support a varied portfolio of construction and civil engineering projects across the Midlands. This home-based role combines site visits with client engagement and independent working.

You will review risk assessments and safety plans, provide practical guidance to clients, and may take on CDM responsibilities as you gain experience across building, housebuilding and civil engineering environments.

Qualifications

• Experience in construction Health & Safety across building, housebuilding or civil engineering projects.
• A recognised Health & Safety qualification, such as NEBOSH Construction or equivalent.

Responsabilités

• Conduct Health & Safety inspections and audits across construction projects.
• Provide practical advice to clients, contractors and site management teams.
• Review risk assessments, method statements, Construction Phase Plans and safety documentation.
• Build strong client relationships with ongoing support and recommendations for improvement.
• Support CDM and Principal Designer responsibilities where appropriate.
• Identify areas for improvement and help clients stay compliant with legislation.
