Job summary

Version 1 is seeking an experienced Tech Lead for its Digital Data & Cloud Practice in the UK. The role focuses on designing and delivering cloud-based software, providing technical ownership, and mentoring junior engineers.

You’ll work on large-scale transformations for public and private sectors, aligning with industry best practices. Ideal candidates have strong Java/Spring/Hibernate experience, frontend knowledge, and a willingness to explore emerging AI tech.

Qualifications

• Experience building cloud-based software applications.
• Ability to lead technical delivery within agile teams.
• Strong emphasis on secure, scalable software engineering practices.
• Proficiency with modern architectural patterns and microservices.
• Experience with API design and integration.
• Cloud technologies including deployment and operations.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test and maintain cloud-based applications.
• Provide technical leadership and mentoring within the team.
• Coordinate delivery with stakeholders and ensure CI/CD and security standards.
• Own product or software solution design, estimation and requirements.
• Create and maintain architecture, release and support documentation.
• Collaborate with PMs, BAs, testers and product owners.
