Job summary

Version 1 is seeking an experienced Tech Lead for our Digital Data & Cloud Practice in Edinburgh. You will drive design, development, and migration of cloud-based software applications, and provide technical leadership to deliver scalable, secure solutions in line with industry practices.

Qualifications

• Deep understanding of coding best practices and modern architectural patterns, including microservices and message-driven architectures.
• Hands-on developing / coding experience using Frontend (Angular) and Backend (.Net, C#).
• Non-Functional requirements understanding and experience designing for reliability and security.
• Strong TDD experience with unit and integration tests and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience developing REST-based APIs and cloud-native architectures on Azure.

Responsibilities

• Designing, developing, testing, and maintaining cloud-based software applications.
• Technical leadership within a team to coordinate and deliver scalable, secure solutions with CI/CD and security best practices.
• Work within an agile delivery methodology.
• Own a product or software solution including design, estimation, shaping, and user-story creation.
• Document architectures, configurations, releases and handovers.
• Collaborate with Version 1 and customer stakeholders across the software lifecycle.
• Communicate technical designs clearly to stakeholders with varied technical ability.
• Provide knowledge transfer to team members and customers.
• Coach and develop junior team members and foster a positive, collaborative environment.
