Job summary

Unknown is seeking a Junior Cloud Engineer to join its growing Cloud & Platform team. This role offers hands-on experience with modern cloud technologies, building and maintaining cloud infrastructure, and learning automation, monitoring and DevOps practices.

You will collaborate with Software Engineers and senior Cloud Engineers in an agile environment. This is a fully remote role within the UK with an office in Southwark available if you prefer to work onsite.

Qualifications

• Hands-on AWS experience through work, university, projects or certifications.
• Exposure to Python or another scripting language.
• Understanding of Terraform.
• Genuine interest in Cloud, DevOps and Infrastructure.
• Strong problem-solving and willingness to learn.
• Excellent communication and collaborative skills.

Responsibilities

• Support management and maintenance of AWS cloud infrastructure.
• Learn Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.
• Assist with cloud deployments and CI/CD pipelines.
• Write and maintain simple Python scripts to automate tasks.
• Work with developers to troubleshoot cloud and application issues.
• Monitor platform performance and improve reliability.
• Learn cloud security and operational best practices.
• Contribute to team projects with mentorship from experienced engineers.
