Job summary

Clio is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer, Production to join our Platform Team. This remote UK role prefers candidates in or near London for occasional in-person collaboration.

You will design, build, and operate AWS infrastructure at scale, implement Terraform-based IaC, improve CI/CD pipelines, and mentor engineers while partnering with Security, DevOps, and Product Engineering to deliver scalable, reliable systems.

Qualifications

• Experience designing, deploying, and operating AWS infrastructure at scale.
• Strong Terraform and infrastructure automation expertise.
• Solid understanding of AWS services such as ECS/EKS, RDS, Lambda.
• Familiarity with observability platforms (Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana).
• Proficiency with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Experience with CI/CD systems (Buildkite, GitHub Actions).
• Familiarity with Linux systems administration, networking, and observability tooling.
• Coding skills in Bash, Python, Ruby, or Go.
• Excellent communication and documentation abilities, with focus on knowledge sharing.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain the AWS infrastructure supporting production environments.
• Implement and evolve Infrastructure-as-Code using Terraform.
• Collaborate with developers to improve CI/CD pipelines and deployment strategies.
• Enhance observability and reliability through alerting and monitoring improvements.
• Lead cloud optimization projects for performance, cost, and security.
• Mentor team members and foster technical excellence and learning.
• Partner with Security, DevOps, and Product Engineering teams to deliver scalable systems.
