Job summary

Crossing Hurdles is seeking an experienced AWS Engineer for a remote contract role. You will design, deploy, and manage scalable AWS infrastructure, focusing on EC2, S3, RDS, IAM, and VPC.

You'll automate provisioning with Terraform or CloudFormation, monitor with CloudWatch, and develop Bash and Python scripts. Strong security practices and network fundamentals are essential for this engagement.

This contract requires 10-40 hrs/week with flexible scheduling and a remote setup.

Qualifications

• Experience with AWS core services EC2, S3, IAM, VPC, RDS, CloudWatch.
• Strong Linux administration and Bash scripting experience.
• Proficient in Python for automation.
• Solid understanding of networking basics and cloud security best practices.
• Hands-on experience with IaC tools Terraform or CloudFormation.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and manage AWS infrastructure using core services such as EC2, S3, and RDS.
• Implement and maintain IAM configurations and VPC networking.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning with Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Monitor performance and troubleshoot with AWS CloudWatch and related tools.
