Job summary
Wallace Hind Selection LTD is assisting a global manufacturer in appointing a Business Development Manager to drive sales across a UK territory from home based offices. You will split your time between direct OEM accounts and distribution partners, nurturing new business while managing established relationships.
You will visit manufacturing sites, understand production processes and recommend technically appropriate solutions from a broad product portfolio.
Qualifications
- Experience in technical field sales of industrial consumables, components, abrasives, tooling or surface finishing products.
- Proven track record selling into manufacturing environments.
- Experience with OEM customers, ideally in automotive, aerospace, engineering or general industrial sectors.
- Ability to manage a territory remotely and autonomously.
Responsibilities
- Split focus roughly 50/50 between direct OEM customers and distributors.
- Develop a balanced mix of new business and account management across the territory.
- Re-engage dormant accounts and identify new growth opportunities.
- Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting to implementation.
- Aim to deliver about £1 million in annual sales revenue.
- Conduct site visits to manufacturing facilities and provide technical recommendations.
- Work closely with distributors to support growth in key sectors.
