Job summary

Acorn Training Ltd. is seeking a driven Business Development Manager to grow apprenticeship sales and manage regional contracts from a home-based base.

You will build strategic employer partnerships, collaborate with marketing, and lead activities to secure revenue and contracts across your region. The role requires a three-year business development track record in private training or education sectors, and a proactive approach to pipeline management with CRM usage.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years of business development experience meeting apprenticeship sales targets.
• Experience in private training or education sector.
• Prior experience in developing partnerships with other education providers.
• Demonstrated success in building and managing a sales team.
• Strong understanding of current business development and sales strategies.
• Familiarity with industry regulations and compliance.
• Commitment to income generation and commercial activity.
• Understanding of adult learning principles and educational methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Actively promote Acorn Training's services and training programmes effectively.
• Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and execute effective marketing campaigns.
• Identify and develop productive and sustainable relationships with potential employers, partners, and wider stakeholders.
• Maintain a strong pipeline of potential learners, employers, and referral partners.
• Manage your pipeline of opportunities, including lead generation, meetings, and closing sales.
• Keep data in CRM up to date for forecasting and analytics.
• Ensure smooth transition from sale through onboarding to delivery.
• Attend regional networking events to understand audience needs.
• Share knowledge with colleagues to improve customer experience.
• Contribute to overall business efficiency with new ideas.
