Job summary

East Lancashire Hospitals NHS Trust is seeking an experienced BI Developer to join the OneLSC BI community. You will design and automate data flows from the EPR and other sources, delivering clear reporting for clinical and operational teams across multiple specialties.

You will use SQL and the Microsoft BI stack to build robust ETL processes, dashboards, and data models, working with a collaborative team to enable real-time operational insights and research data delivery.

Qualifications

• Experience as a BI developer/analyst delivering data solutions.
• Strong SQL and data modelling skills.
• Experience with the Microsoft BI ETL Stack (SSIS/SSAS).

Responsibilities

• Design, implementation, testing, deployment, and support of ETL processing solutions.
• Develop expert knowledge of BI methodologies and the Microsoft BI ETL Stack (SSIS, SSAS).
• Design, create, implement, and update reference tables as required.
• Design and produce thorough and detailed test plans and scripts before releases.
• Collaborate with other developers and BI analysts during testing.
• Support troubleshooting SQL and BI tools, systems and software.
• Transition reporting solutions to the next generation with mobile app delivery focus.
• Identify user reporting requirements through a structured evaluation process.
• Create complex data structures and analytical presentations for data visualisation products.
• Proactively identify improvements to database structures and queries and implement changes.
• Develop and implement complex ETL processes.
• Develop multidimensional cubes and tabular models.
• Fully document all reports and systems developed.
