Job summary

East Lancashire Hospitals NHS Trust is seeking an experienced BI Developer to join the OneLSC BI community. You will design and automate data flows from the EPR and other sources, delivering clear reporting for clinical and operational teams across multiple specialties.

You will use SQL and the Microsoft BI stack to build robust ETL processes, dashboards, and data models, working with a collaborative team to enable real-time operational insights and research data delivery.

Qualifications

• Experience as a BI developer/analyst delivering data solutions.

Responsibilities

• Design, implementation, testing, deployment, and support of ETL processing solutions.

Business Intelligence Developer | East Lancashire Hospitals NHS Trust

At OneLSC we are a community of Business Intelligence teams working together to deliver data management services to our partner Trusts.

We need you and the wealth of skills you bring as an experienced analyst, to extract knowledge for our clinical and operational teams, hungry for analytics to optimise clinical care and performance and for our vibrant research community.

You will join a group of approximately 20 Business Intelligence Analysts and engineers supporting Lancashire Teaching Hospitals Trust and you will have options to increase and hone your skills in multiple BI related areas covering up to 40 clinical specialties, including Regional specialist services across our clinical divisions. As part of the expanding team, you will use your developer experience to create clear, informative reporting tools, utilising a range of complex data sources derived from the Trusts mature Electronic Patient Record system. You will work collaboratively across the wider One LSC BI community, building your experience portfolio within an expert analytics community.

Your main duties will include developing automated solutions to support the ongoing transition the Business Intelligence department from manual to automated, scheduled processing and visualisation of data. You will utilise your expert SQL, and highly technical programming skills to support the development of the automation process across the service.

You will ensure the service maximises the timely flow of data into the organisations data visualisation tools and the development of appropriate reporting solutions that meets the ever-increasing organisational need for real time operational data.

Your key skill set will include Microsoft ETL Stack (SSIS and SSAS), analysing and reporting on large, complex data sets and experience of using appropriate tools for data visualisation and reporting.
