Job summary

Camunda is seeking a Software Engineer to join the Engineering Operations Team. You will help evolve the internal development lifecycle for Camunda 8, focusing on scalable core processes, CI workflows, and reliable dependency management in the era of AI-first development.

You will partner with infrastructure and core software engineering teams to ensure smooth workflows, robust pipelines, and continuous improvement of CI processes across the platform.

Qualifications

• Strong software engineering experience with a track record of delivering results, preferably in Java.
• Ability to own and develop engineering processes end-to-end.
• Experience with CI build tools and automations in complex projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead automated engineering lifecycle improvements in Camunda 8 repos including release management and autonomous dependency updates.
• Optimize CI/release health and development velocity using metrics to remove bottlenecks.
• Collaborate to implement CI strategy and engineering best practices across the organization.
• Identify friction points and evolve them into automated, self-sustaining systems for AI-augmented workloads.
