Job summary

Cloud People seeks a DevOps Engineer to own the Azure platform and delivery toolchain within a global IT managed services provider's CTO Office. The focus is automating the path from commit to production, embedding observability, security, and self-service infrastructure across containers, serverless, AI and data services.

This is a 6-month fixed-term contract with almost fully remote work and one day per month in London.

Qualifications

Strong Azure experience with AKS, ACR, App Service and networking.
Infrastructure as code using Terraform and Bicep with modular design.
Solid CI/CD experience with GitHub Actions and Azure DevOps, testing and security.
Observability and security practices are embedded by default.

Responsibilities

Own CI CD pipelines across GitHub Actions and Azure DevOps, with deployment strategies.
Build and manage IaC using Terraform and Bicep for AKS, App Service and more.
Embed observability with logs, metrics and traces; define SLOs and dashboards.
Champion security, IAM/RBAC, secret management and policy as code.
Maintain environment parity across DEV/TEST/STAGING/PROD and migrations.
Drive performance and cost efficiency with capacity planning and FinOps tagging.
Collaborate with Scrum Masters, BAs and QA on release readiness and incidents.
Create templates and self-service paths to improve developer experience.
