Job summary

Consult is seeking an experienced Azure Platform & Systems Engineer to join the team on an initial 6‑month contract, with strong potential for extension. The role will combine Azure platform engineering, DevOps automation, application infrastructure support and technical delivery.

You will be designing, deploying and supporting secure, scalable Azure environments, building CI/CD pipelines, IaC and automation, and ensuring observability, resilience and secure governance across Azure.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience designing and operating Azure environments.
• Strong CI/CD pipelines development and deployment automation.
• Experience with IaC and automation solutions.
• Knowledge of identity, access management, security and governance in Azure.
• Experience with Azure Monitor and observability tooling.
• Networking, DNS, firewalls, and hybrid connectivity knowledge.

• Hands-on scripting in PowerShell and Azure CLI.

A leading Microsoft Services client is seeking an experienced Azure Platform & Systems Engineer to join their team on an initial 6-month contract, with strong potential for extension.

The role will combine Azure platform engineering, DevOps automation, application infrastructure support and technical delivery, with responsibility for building and operating secure, reliable and scalable environments, improving deployment practices, supporting integrations and ensuring business-critical platforms remain observable and resilient.

The successful consultant will be responsible for:

• Designing, deploying and supporting secure and scalable Azure environments
• Developing and improving CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation
• Supporting application infrastructure, integrations and production environments
• Implementing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and automation solutions
• Supporting identity, access management, security and governance across Azure
• Improving platform monitoring, observability, resilience and performance
• Supporting SQL Server and Azure SQL environments, including access, backups and troubleshooting
• Contributing to vulnerability management, incident response and operational security
• Strong experience across the Microsoft Azure platform, including compute, networking, storage, identity, monitoring, security and governance
• Strong Azure DevOps and/or GitHub Enterprise experience, including repositories, pipelines, releases and deployment automation
• Hands‑on experience with Bicep, ARM Templates and/or Terraform
• Strong scripting and automation skills using PowerShell and Azure CLI
• Experience with Microsoft Entra ID, IAM, RBAC and privileged access
• Understanding of secure application delivery, configuration and secrets management
• Experience with Azure Monitor, Application Insights or equivalent observability tooling
• Knowledge of SQL Server / Azure SQL, including access management, backups and troubleshooting
• Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, routing, firewalls and private/hybrid connectivity
• Experience across Microsoft 365, Intune and endpoint management
• Understanding of vulnerability management, threat alerts and incident response
