Job summary

Wayve in London is seeking a Software Engineer for the Platform Integration team to combine hands-on vehicle work with production software development. You will help bring up new vehicle programs and build reusable components that speed future integrations.

You’ll collaborate across hardware, safety, controls, calibration and reliability teams, diagnose issues across software and hardware, and develop diagnostics, tooling, and runbooks to support scalable deployments.

Qualifications

• Experience developing production-quality software on Linux-based robotic, embedded, or automotive platforms.
• Proficient in C++, Python, or Rust and ROS2 or similar middleware.
• Hands-on experience integrating software with vehicle or embedded hardware and diagnosing complex issues.

Responsibilities

• Support software bring-up on benches, HiL systems, and vehicles, including work at international test locations.
• Develop vehicle-facing software components and shared frameworks.
• Diagnose integration issues across software and hardware boundaries and drive them through resolution.
• Identify architectural improvements that reduce bespoke work and improve reuse.
• Build diagnostics, tooling, and metrics for robot-software reliability and performance.
• Produce clear documentation and runbooks for long-term supportability.
• Collaborate with hardware, safety, controls, calibration, and reliability teams.
