Job summary

Precision People is seeking an Area Sales Manager for the South West region of the UK. After initial training, you will work from home, contacting potential customers by phone and visiting them on-site across Warminster, Salisbury, Bath and surrounding areas.

You will generate new sales, grow existing accounts and provide accurate forecasts while maintaining CRM integrity. The role demands technical communication, client-facing skills and a customers‑first approach.

• Experience in machine tool sales, cutting tool sales or machine tool applications.
• Self-motivated and hungry to forge a career in machine tool sales.
• Professional and well presented, articulate and commercially aware.
• Confident and effective communicator with ability to explain technical concepts.

Responsibilities

South West Region – Ideally located around Warminster or Salisbury or Bath area.

Basic salary £50k (OTE up to £90k+). Company car, laptop, phone.

My client is one of the largest importers of CNC machines into Europe and has a large CNC machine sales force to sell directly in the UK & Ireland.

Other job titles include Business Development Manager, BDM or Machine Tool Sales Engineer.

The Role – Area Sales Manager

Once fully trained, you will work from home, contacting potential customers by phone and travelling to meet them on-site across the South West region of the UK.

• Generating new sales and growing existing and lapsed accounts.
• Preparing sales forecasts, following up leads, analysing and summarising sales data.
• Producing and maintaining accurate CRM reports.
• Providing feedback on products and activity.
• Reporting to the managing director and UK sales manager.

Minimum Skills / Experience Required – Area Sales Manager

• Experience in Machine Tool Sales, Cutting Tool Sales or Machine Tool Applications.
