Job summary

So Code Limited in Reading is seeking a proactive IT Support Engineer (2nd Line) for a remote-first role with occasional travel to client sites across the South West of England. You will own second-line issues, leveraging Microsoft tools to maintain environments and deliver excellent service.

The role requires experience in 2nd Line IT support, strong Microsoft 365/AD knowledge, and strong communication skills to support diverse clients.

Qualifications

• Experience in a 2nd Line IT Support role.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Office 365, Active Directory, Intune.
• Experience diagnosing hardware, software and network issues.
• Excellent communication and customer service.
• Ability to prioritise workloads and work independently.

Responsibilities

• Provide 2nd Line remote support across multiple clients.
• Troubleshoot and resolve escalated technical issues.
• Maintain Microsoft desktop and server environments.
• Manage user administration and software updates.
• Assist with security best practices and tools.
• Collaborate with IT team to resolve complex issues.
• Visit client sites occasionally (1–2 times per month).
