Job summary

Carrington West is assisting a London local authority by appointing an experienced Facilities Management Relocation Manager to lead corporate relocations, office moves and workplace reconfigurations across a complex estate.

The role combines FM, workplace planning, space utilisation and project management. You will manage moves from planning through to move-day delivery, ensuring minimal disruption, safety and continuity of services.

Qualifications

• Extensive FM experience in a local authority/public sector environment.
• Proven experience delivering office relocations, moves, decants and workplace changes.
• Strong space planning, occupancy analysis and accommodation planning skills.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD for floor plans and move scenarios.
• Excellent stakeholder management across multiple Council services and teams.
• Willingness to travel between sites and work outside normal hours when required.

Responsibilities

• Lead corporate relocations, office moves, decants and workplace reconfiguration projects.
• Coordinate FM, IT, Security, contractors and operational teams to deliver moves.
• Produce workplace layouts, occupancy plans and space utilisation analyses.
• Develop floor plans and move scenarios in AutoCAD for relocation events.
• Manage multiple move workstreams, milestones, risks and dependencies.
• Procure and manage removals, storage and logistics contractors.
• Support Corporate Landlord and wider estate rationalisation initiatives.
• Maintain accurate records of furniture, equipment and accommodation.
