Job summary

Teaching Personnel in Godalming and surrounding Surrey areas seeks a RELIGIOUS EDUCATION teacher to join schools on a 4-day-per-week basis. The role covers RE across Key Stages 3 and 4, with a focus on delivering high-quality lessons and supporting students’ RE knowledge. The position is suitable for experienced teachers or an ECT building classroom practice.

Start ASAP until Christmas, with competitive daily rates and access to CPD. All pay is PAYE and safeguarding checks are required.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant teaching experience.
• Experience teaching RE in a secondary school setting.
• Passion for Religious Education and working with young people.
• Strong classroom management skills and ability to build positive relationships.

Responsibilities

• Teach Religious Education across Key Stages 3 and 4.
• Plan and deliver engaging, high-quality lessons.
• Support students to develop knowledge and understanding of RE.
• Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
• Collaborate with Humanities/RE department.
• Monitor and assess student progress.
• Contribute to wider school life where appropriate.

RE Teacher – Godalming & Surrounding Areas

Location: Godalming & surrounding areas, Surrey
Contract: Part-time, 4 days per week
Start Date: ASAP until Christmas
Salary: £140–£240 per day, depending on experience

Are you a passionate Religious Education Teacher looking for a new opportunity in the Godalming and surrounding Surrey areas?

Teaching Personnel are currently working with a number of secondary schools across Godalming, Guildford, Woking and the surrounding areas who are looking for an enthusiastic and committed RE Teacher to join their teams on a 4-day-per-week basis.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced teacher or an ECT looking to build experience within a supportive secondary school environment.

The Role

• Teaching RE across Key Stages 3 and 4
• Planning and delivering engaging, high-quality lessons
• Supporting students to develop their knowledge and understanding of Religious Education
• Creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment
• Working collaboratively with the wider Humanities/RE department
• Monitoring and assessing student progress
• Contributing to the wider life of the school where appropriate

The Ideal Candidate

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant teaching experience
• Experience teaching RE within a secondary school setting
• A genuine passion for Religious Education and working with young people
• Strong classroom management skills
• Ability to build positive relationships with students and colleagues
