Job summary

Supply Desk Ltd in Aylesbury is seeking a Religious Education Teacher to deliver RE across KS3/KS4 and to guide students in thoughtful discussions and written responses. The role start is January 2027 and is a temporary to permanent contract.

QTS is desirable; unqualified teachers are welcome to apply, particularly those with Theology or humanities backgrounds. Competitive pay and ongoing rostering support are provided by Supply Desk.

Location: Aylesbury

Start: January 2027

Full Time: Temporary to Permanent

Salary: £29,344–£44,919

Students like to give opinions. Your role is to teach them how to support those opinions.

Key responsibilities

• Teach RE across KS3 and KS4
• Guide structured discussion and debate
• Support extended written responses
• Teach ethical and philosophical concepts clearly
• Maintain respectful and focused classroom environment
• Prepare students for GCSE assessment

The classroom environment

• Discussion is controlled and purposeful
• Students respect different viewpoints
• Lessons are structured and clear
• Behaviour expectations are consistent

Skills and experience
