Relief Support Worker

We are seeking an experienced Relief Support Worker to provide person-centred support to individuals with a learning disability in Jarrow, South Tyneside. The role involves:

1. Providing intimate personal care, both practical and emotional, to people with a learning disability.
2. Identifying opportunities to support service users in leading meaningful and fulfilling lives.
3. Supporting individuals in the community with activities such as shopping, attending discos, and health appointments.
4. Collaborating with service users, families, and professionals to deliver a consistent and coordinated service tailored to the needs of service users.
5. Working as part of a team and independently in service user homes.

This service aims to achieve positive outcomes for the people we support. We seek Relief Support Workers who are committed and dedicated to helping individuals reach their personal goals.

Requirements include:

1. A minimum of twelve months experience working with people with a learning disability.
2. A relevant professional qualification is desirable.
3. Ability to work in a warm, person-centred manner.
