Job summary

BardWood is seeking an Area Relief Officer in Taunton to provide site-based security and customer-facing support. You will help maintain a safe, welcoming environment while responding to incidents and guiding visitors.

The role requires a current SIA licence, a full UK driving licence with access to your own transport, and a 5-year checkable work history. You must be flexible, calm under pressure, and capable of working day shifts plus Saturday rotations.

Qualifications

• SIA licence is essential and must be current.

• Experience in customer-facing environments and staff interaction.

Responsibilities

• Provide relief cover and support to multiple locations within a region.
• Maintain a safe, secure and welcoming environment for staff and visitors.
• Directly engage with customers to manage conflicts and provide guidance.
• Observe site rules, report incidents clearly and promptly.
• Appear smart, vigilant and ready to assist; provide first aid if trained.
• Collaborate with colleagues to uphold security standards across premises.
