Job summary

Securitas Morriston location seeks a Relief Security Officer to provide professional security services across multiple sites. You will protect people, property, and assets while following site instructions and customer requirements, delivering strong customer service and upholding our core values.

You’ll need an active SIA licence, UK driving licence, and willingness to travel between Swansea, Cardiff, Newport and Merthyr.

Qualifications

• SIA Licence required.
• UK Driving Licence and access to a vehicle due to multiple site locations.
• Ability to travel to site within 45 minutes when required.
• Knowledge of access control systems and security procedures.
• Right to work in the UK with a 5-year checkable work history (enhanced screening).

As a Relief Security Officer, you will provide professional security services across a variety of sites within a designated geographical area as required. The Relief Security Officer will be responsible for protecting customers, employees, property, and assets while ensuring all site-specific assignment instructions and customer requirements are followed. Delivering exceptional customer service is a key part of the Relief Security Officer role, consistently demonstrating Securitas’ core values of Integrity, Vigilance, and Helpfulness.

Responsibilities

You’ll play a vital part in keeping people, property, and information safe. That includes:

• Carry out regular site patrols and monitor access points.
• Respond to alarms, incidents, and emergency situations.
• Safeguard our client's people, property, and assets.
• Manage keys, security equipment, and access control systems.
• Conduct internal and external patrols, remaining vigilant for suspicious activity.
• Maintain accurate records, incident reports, logs, and visitor passes.
• Provide a professional, welcoming service to staff, visitors, and contractors.
• Take appropriate action during incidents until emergency services or additional support arrive.
• Follow all health and safety procedures, reporting hazards and concerns promptly.
• Deliver outstanding customer service while upholding Securitas' core values of Integrity, Vigilance, and Helpfulness.

• Customer-focused with excellent attention to detail.
• Confident using basic IT systems and computer applications.
• A reliable team player who can work independently when needed.
• Willingness to cover a variety of locations, including static sites and retail parks.
