Job summary

Join Securitas UK in Lincoln as a Relief Security Officer. You’ll help protect people, property and information while working 36 hours per week across days, nights and weekends.

The role includes comprehensive training, mentoring and a broad benefits package designed to support your development and wellbeing. We welcome applicants who value teamwork, are flexible, and possess a valid SIA licence with good English communication skills.

Qualifications

• Valid SIA licence.
• Access to reliable transport or driving licence.
• Flexibility to work days, nights, and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Prevent and deter unauthorized access to site.
• Monitor alarms and CCTV as appropriate.
• Conduct security patrols as assigned.
• Provide traffic control and parking restrictions.
• Manage keys and locking/unlocking duties.
• Maintain logs and visitor passes as required.
• Deliver exceptional customer service.

Job Description

Responsibilities

You’ll play an important role in keeping people, property, and information secure. Your responsibilities will include:

• Prevent and deter unauthorized access to site. Monitor fire alarms, intruder alarms, and CCTV as appropriate.
• Conduct external and internal security patrols as detailed in the Assignment Instructions.
• Provide traffic control and apply parking restrictions as required.
• Carry out routine tests of security equipment where appropriate.
• Manage keys and perform locking and unlocking duties as detailed in the Assignment Instructions.
• Ensure any equipment provided by the customer and Securitas is managed in accordance with procedures detailed in the Assignment Instructions.
• Maintain all logbooks and records as detailed in the Assignment Instructions.
• Issue visitor/contractor passes in accordance with the Assignment Instructions.
• Deal with lost property in accordance with the Assignment Instructions.

Qualifications

What we’re looking for:

We’re looking for someone who values teamwork, takes pride in their work, and is keen to develop. You don’t need to tick every box, but the ideal candidate will have:

• A valid SIA licence.
• Good Transport links or driving licence
• Flexibility to work days, nights, and weekends.
• Security Experience.
• The right to work in the UK, with a 5-year checkable employment or address history.
• Good communication skills in English, both written and spoken.
