Job summary

Securitas UK is seeking a Relief Security Officer to cover a variety of sites in the Bristol area. You’ll provide security services, protect people and assets, and maintain a strong customer service presence across shifts, including days, nights and weekends.

The role requires a valid SIA Door Supervisor or Security Guarding Licence, a full UK driving licence with access to a vehicle, and excellent English communication and customer service skills.

We’re Hiring: Relief Security Officer

Location: Bristol, BS32 4QH
Pay: £14.00 per hour
Hours: Various shifts including days, nights, and weekends (average 36 hours per week)

As a Relief Security Officer, you will provide security services across a variety of sites within a designated geographical area as required. The Relief Security Officer will be responsible for protecting employees, property, and assets in line with Assignment Instructions and site-specific customer requirements, while delivering exceptional customer service. The Relief Security Officer will consistently demonstrate Securitas' core values of Integrity, Vigilance, and Helpfulness and must hold a valid SIA licence before commencing operational duties.

Responsibilities

You’ll play a vital part in keeping people, property, and information safe. That includes:

• Welcoming and assisting staff, visitors, and contractors.
• Conducting regular safety and security patrols.
• Ensuring compliance with regulations and procedures.
• Supporting emergency protocols, including evacuations and searches.
• Keeping vigilant, reporting incidents, and preventing disruption.
• Accurately maintaining records of all activity and handovers.
• Provide a visible security presence across the site
• Conduct regular foot patrols
• Monitor CCTV systems and security alarms
• Manage access control and visitor sign-in procedures
• Respond to incidents and emergencies professionally
• Complete accurate incident and shift reports
• Assist employees, contractors, and visitors
• Ensure all health, safety, and security procedures are followed at all times
