Job summary

Securitas UK is seeking a Relief Security Officer to contribute to a safe, welcoming environment across our sites. This role offers on-site duties, comprehensive training, and opportunities to advance within a dynamic security team.

The ideal candidate will hold a valid SIA licence, be flexible to cover day, night, and weekend shifts, and have the right to work in the UK with a clear 5-year history. Strong English communication is essential.

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills in English—both written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Keep people, property and information safe.
• Prevent and deter unauthorised access to site; monitor alarms and CCTV as appropriate.
• Conduct external and internal security patrols as detailed in Instructions.
• Provide traffic control and apply parking restrictions as required.
• Carry out routine tests of security equipment and manage keys and locks.
• Maintain logbooks and records and issue visitor passes as needed.
• Deal with lost property in line with Instructions.

Job Description

Responsibilities

You’ll play a vital part in keeping people, property, and information safe. That includes:

• Prevent and deter unauthorised access to site. Monitor fire alarms, intruder alarms and CCTV as appropriate.
• Conduct external and internal security patrols as detailed in the Assignment Instructions.
• Provide traffic control and apply parking restrictions as required.
• Carry out routine tests of security equipment where appropriate.
• Manage keys and perform locking and unlocking duties as detailed in the Assignment Instructions.
• Ensure any equipment provided by the customer and Securitas is managed in accordance with procedures detailed in the Assignment Instructions.
• Maintain all logbooks and records as detailed in the Assignment Instructions.
• Issue visitor/contractor passes in accordance with the Assignment Instructions.
• Deal with lost property in accordance with the Assignment Instructions.
