Job summary

Securitas in Belfast, Northern Ireland is seeking Relief Security Officers to join our team. You’ll protect people and property, monitor alarms, perform patrols, control traffic, and provide excellent customer service across site duties.

We welcome SIA-licensed candidates or those willing to train. Flexible days, nights and weekends with overtime opportunities; on-site parking, pension, dental plan and other benefits are available from day one.

Qualifications

• Valid SIA Licence, or willingness to complete the required training to obtain one.
• Driver's Licence and Access to own vehicle.
• Flexibility to work days, nights, and weekends.
• The right to work in the UK, with a 5-year checkable history.
• Strong communication skills in English—both written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Protect property and premises and monitor alarms.
• Conduct external and internal security patrols.
• Provide traffic control and enforce parking restrictions.
• Test security equipment and manage keys.
• Maintain logbooks and issue passes.
• Ensure health and safety procedures are followed.
• Report faults and hazards promptly.

Hours: 36hrs p/week, Days, Nights and some weekends - (Overtime opportunities available)

SIA‑licensed candidates preferred; however, we welcome applicants willing to undertake the training to obtain their licence.

Job Description

Responsibilities

You’ll play a vital part in keeping people, property, and information safe. That includes:

Protection of Property and Premises

• Prevent and deter unauthorised access to site. Monitor fire alarms, intruder alarms
  and CCTV as appropriate.
• Conduct external and internal security patrols as detailed in the Assignment
  Instructions.
• Provide traffic control and apply parking restrictions as required.
• Carry out routine tests of security equipment where appropriate.
• Manage keys and perform locking and unlocking duties as detailed in the
  Assignment Instructions.
• Ensure any equipment provided by the customer and Securitas is managed in
  accordance with procedures detailed in the Assignment Instructions.
• Maintain all logbooks and records as detailed in the Assignment Instructions.
• Issue visitor/contractor passes in accordance with the Assignment Instructions.
• Deal with lost property in accordance with the Assignment Instruction

Health and Safety

• To provide support, guidance and information to all staff, visitors and contractors
  whilst ensuring safeguarding of the premises.
• Ensure health and safety procedures are followed at all times. Record and report
  all faults, health and safety hazards and unsafe working practices to
