Job summary

Securitas UK is hiring a Relief Security Officer for multi-site coverage in Cardiff. You will monitor access control, CCTV and security systems, while delivering high-quality customer service and maintaining a safe environment.

The role requires an SIA Licence, a UK driving licence, and eligibility for BPSS/SC clearances. Flexibility to work days, nights, evenings, weekends, and holidays is essential.

We’re Hiring: Relief Security Officer

Pay: £13.10 per hour

Hours: Flexible shift pattern including evenings and weekends 48 hours per week 6am-6pm and 6pm-6am shifts days and nights

Location: Cardiff, CF24 5YX

Working across multiple sites within a designated area, the Relief Security Officer will provide a professional security service in line with Assignment Instructions and site‑specific requirements, helping to protect employees, visitors, property, and other assets.

Supporting a leading steel manufacturing organisation focused on innovation, sustainability, and the circular economy, the Relief Security Officer will play a key role in maintaining a safe, secure, and welcoming environment. Qualifications

What we’re looking for: We’re looking for someone who sees a different world—someone who values teamwork, shows initiative, and wants to grow. Ideally, you’ll have:

• Valid SIA Licence.
• Valid UK driving Licence
• Eligible to obtain BPSS (Baseline Personnel Security Standard) and SC (Security Check) Clearance.
• British nationality required due to site security clearance requirements.
• Flexible to work days, nights, weekends, and public holidays.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Right to work in the UK with a 5-year checkable employment, education, or address history.
• Hold a valid UK passport.
• Have been continuously resident in the UK for the last 5 years.
• Willing to undergo security screening and background checks.
