Job summary

Guardwatch Security UK Limited is seeking a relief gatehouse Security Officer to join our team in Llanybydder and surrounding areas. The role is part-time and permanent, with shifts 06:00-18:00 and nights 18:00-06:00.

You will be computer literate and able to communicate clearly in English, with a valid SIA Door Supervisor/Security Guard licence. Responsibilities include controlling site access, greeting visitors, monitoring CCTV, and responding to emergencies.

Qualifications

• Full 5-year checkable employment/education history.
• Valid SIA Door Supervisor/Security Guard Licence.
• Greet visitors, staff and contractors; take details and direct them.
• Maintain a safe and secure environment on site.
• Escort those without access from the premises.
• Provide support in an emergency or evacuation.
• Monitor CCTV effectively and sensitively.
• Searches conducted per company procedures and maintain keys/equipment.

Responsibilities

• Control access to and from the site and greet visitors and contractors.
• Take personnel and vehicle details and direct people to the correct area.
• Ensure safety and security throughout the site.
• Professional handling of access for unauthorized individuals.
• Assist in emergencies or evacuations and monitor CCTV.
• Conduct searches and manage keys and security equipment.

Requirements for this position

• Full 5-year checkable employment/education history.
• Valid SIA Door Supervisor/Security Guard Licence.
• Your role will be to control access to and from the site, greet visitors, staff and contractors to the site, take their personnel and vehicle details, and direct them in the right direction.
• To ensure a safe and secure environment.
• Ensure that those who should not be granted access to the sites are professionally and politely prevented from gaining access and escorted from the premises.
• Provide support in an emergency or evacuation.
• Make sure the CCTV system is professionally, effectively, and sensitively monitored
• Conduct searches within the guidelines of company procedures.
• Ensure the effective control and maintenance of keys and security equipment.
