Job summary

Impact Services is seeking a Relief Security Officer to help safeguard employees, visitors and property in Manchester and surrounding areas. You will provide a visible security presence, control access, and respond to incidents in a calm, professional manner.

The role requires a valid SIA licence, reliability, and strong communication, with the ability to work flexible 40–48 hour weeks across days, nights and weekends. Full uniform, holidays, pension, and ongoing training are provided.

Job Purpose

The purpose is to develop and maintain a safe and secure environment for employees, visitors, and property.

Job Overview

A Security Guard is in charge of safeguarding the safety and security of commercial property and its visitors. Your responsibilities will include interacting with employees at your company and ensuring that visitors enter the building using the proper process. You will need a positive attitude toward people and challenges.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

• You will be the first line of defence against any potential threat to both the employees and visitors.
• You will need to be on the lookout for suspicious behavior and activity
• Deal with any conflict in an appropriate manner if required and ensure that activities are accurately recorded, reported, and documented in high-quality (verbal and/or written) reports
• Interact with members of the public and have the capacity to act with integrity and honesty while treating people with respect in challenging situations.

Requirements

• A valid SIA licence
• CCTV licence preffered but not essential
• Right to work in the UK
• Driving Licence and own vehicle
• First Aid and Fire Marshal training - (preferable)
• Flexible, committed and punctual
• Excellent concentration skills
• Excellent communication skills
• Keen attention to detail
• Ability to remain calm and deal with emergency situations
• Be always alert and vigilant to detect suspicious behaviour and activity
