Job summary

Caterlink is hiring a Relief Chef in Manchester for term-time only, Monday–Friday. The role involves on-site catering management, staff supervision, and ensuring Health & Safety compliance, with a focus on cost control and client satisfaction.

The ideal candidate will have appropriate food safety qualifications, driving licence, and experience in large-scale catering. This is a term-time, part-time role with ~30 hours weekly across 38 weeks per year.

Qualifications

• Relevant catering experience commensurate with position.
• Cooking experience of fresh foods.
• Experience with Food Safety Management / HACCP systems.

Responsibilities

• Carry out on-site catering activities under the direction of the Head Chef / Catering Operations Manager / Site Supervisors.
• Ensure food service is delivered in line with Food Safety, HACCP and legal requirements.
• Manage production staff training and develop budgets with cost awareness.
• Act as the main client liaison at your location, with regular KPI and financial target updates.
• Oversee inventory, orders, and ensure timely production to the required quality standards.
