Job summary

Caterlink is hiring a Relief Chef in Bradford to deliver nutritionally balanced, tasty meals during term time. The role involves on-site management, supervising teams, inventory control and budget oversight, with travel to multi-locations as needed.

The ideal candidate will have relevant City & Guilds/NVQ qualifications, a valid UK driving licence, Banksman and First Aid Level 2 Food Safety. Hours are 30 per week, 38 weeks per year, at £13.50 per hour.

Qualifications

• City & Guilds 706/1 & 2, NVQ Level 1 & 2 or Commis Chef Level 2.
• Full, UK driving licence with at least 12 months driving experience and no more than 6 points.
• Banksman training.
• First aid trained Level 2 Food Safety Qualification.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook and present food to the standards required by Caterlink and the client.
• Ensure location meets Health and Safety, Food Safety and environmental legislations and procedures.
• Enhance the company’s reputation for food and service with client and customers; exceed expectations.
• Manage day-to-day running of the location and supervise teams including inventories, budgets, action plans.
• Act as main point of contact for our client in your school; ensure improvements are implemented.
• Communicate with line manager to monitor KPIs and financial targets.
• Support and train teams; lead from the front ensuring training completion and performance management.
