Mitie Group is seeking a Security Guard for coverage across DWP sites in the London region. You’ll patrol, monitor access, respond to incidents and provide excellent customer service while ensuring safety for staff and visitors.

A valid SIA licence, a full UK driving licence and willingness to travel between sites are essential. The role supports Mitie and the Department for Work and Pensions in communities nationwide.

Responsabilités

• Help maintain a safe, secure and welcoming environment for DWP colleagues, visitors and property.
• Carry out regular patrols and routine security checks to identify and manage potential risks.

• Liaise with emergency services, local law enforcement and the Mitie Communication Centre when needed.

At Mitie, we are eagerly looking for passionate security enthusiasts to join our Security Guard teams nationwide for our new, exciting project with the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP). Job Overview

• Flexibility to travel, as this role will cover various DWP sites within the London region (Westminster, Staines, Twickenham, Hounslow, Uxbridge, Hayes, Acton, Shepherd Bush, Fulham, Neasden, North Kensington, Harlesden, Harrow, Watford, St Albans, Borehamwood, Hemel Hampstead, Luton, Hatfield, Stevenage, Herford, Letchworth, Walthamcross)
• Full UK driving licence required.
• Ensure a safe and secure environment for the DWP staff, visitors, and property.
• Patrol the premises regularly to identify potential security threats.
• Monitor and control access to the building, ensuring proper identification and verification.
• Respond effectively to emergencies or suspicious situations.
• Liaise with local law enforcement and emergency services as needed.
• Provide a high level of customer service and assist staff and visitors in any security-related matter.
• Conduct routine security checks and submit incident reports as appropriate.
• Adhere to Mitie and DWP security policies, procedures, and regulations

Security and Health & Safety

• Look out for, and to immediately report, any Health & Safety hazards, or potential hazards, on site.
• Stay alert to any threats or changes within the work environment to take the appropriate action to reduce the chance of disruption, loss or damage.
• Use common sense and initiative by immediately involving others if a situation appears to become threatening.
• To maintain professional conduct in the face of difficult situations and challenging customers.
• Complete an accurate, detailed notebook entry as soon as possible after any incident, which can then be used as part of the Incident Report process.
• Keep to schedules and demonstrate commitment to Mitie and the Client.
• To call emergency services and Communication Centre to report all incidents.
