Job summary

Orwell Housing Association Ltd is seeking a dedicated support worker to assist individuals experiencing homelessness or at risk of homelessness. The role includes ensuring safety, managing building security, carrying out health and safety checks, and assisting with domestic tasks and administrative duties.

You will build trusting relationships with residents, manage visitors, and respond to behavioural concerns while maintaining accurate records.

Qualifications

• Customer-facing role supporting individuals in housing services.
• Building safety and risk awareness through daily checks and reporting.
• Accurate record-keeping and administrative support within a team.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a visible presence in and around the building to help customers feel safe and welcomed.
• Support customers to manage risk and respond to behaviour-related concerns.
• Carry out health and safety checks, report repairs or damage, and prepare rooms for re-let.
• Build positive relationships with customers and provide a reliable point of contact during shifts.
• Manage visitors and ensure house rules are followed in a fair, respectful manner.
• Collaborate with the wider team and maintain accurate records for smooth service delivery.
