Vertas is seeking a Relief Cleaner to join our Facilities Team in the Belper area. You will help maintain clean, safe, welcoming environments across our sites, working on a zero-hours basis to support fluctuating demand.

The role suits a dependable and independent worker with good communication. DBS checks are required, and you must have the right to work in the UK. Experience in cleaning is desirable; training provided.

About the Role:

Based in theBelper area, this position is offered on azero-hours contract, working on anad hoc basisto support business needs.

You’ll play a key role in maintaining high cleaning standards, ensuring sites are clean, safe, and welcoming—consistently meeting both our expectations and those of our customers.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Cleaning toilets and washrooms
• Wiping down tables and surfaces
• General cleaning duties across classrooms and communal areas
• Hoovering and mopping floors
• Ensuring high standards of hygiene and cleanliness are maintained

Who are we looking for?

• Previous cleaning experience is desirable but not essential
• Ability to work independently and efficiently
• Enhanced DBS check is required– if you do not currently hold one, you must be willing to obtain it
• Great communication skills and experience in similar cleaning setting
• A team player providing an excellent service across the Vertas Group
• The ability to make the best decisions with Vertas in mind
• The ability to adapt and respond to change in a growing organisation
