Job summary

Aberdeen City Council is seeking a dedicated care worker to provide high-quality person-centred care across a range of settings, including service users' own homes. You will join a team to support carers and help service users maintain potential and wellbeing across social, physical and mental domains.

The role requires PVG membership, SSSC registration where applicable, and a full UK driving licence for relevant posts.

Qualifications

• The post holder must meet the Qualification required by SSSC.
• PVG scheme membership or willingness to join.
• SSSC registration where applicable.
• Full UK Driving Licence (for certain posts such as Responder and Care at Home).

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care to a range of service users.
• Promote dignity, respect, choice and independent living.
• Communicate effectively with service users, staff, families and professionals.
• Work as part of a team and support other staff.
• Maintain accurate records including risk assessments and care plans.
