Job summary

Scottish Borders Council in Kelso is seeking a Relief Support Worker to provide person-centred practical and emotional support to service users at Grove House. You will work on a casual/relief basis, following individual support plans and promoting wellbeing.

You will be responsible for assisting with personal care, meals, mobility, and safe medication administration, with full training provided. PVG and SSSC registration are supported, and employees gain access to the Local Government Pension

Qualifications

• SVQ2 or equivalent is desirable but not essential. You can earn whilst you learn!
• Training: All training is provided.
• Requirements: PVG Adults - we will do this for you! SSSC registered.

Responsibilities

• Providing person-centred practical and emotional support to empower the people we care for, as outlined in individual support plans.
• Promote the health and well-being of the people we support and ensure their needs are met in an inclusive way.
• Support, enable and involve service users in all aspects of their lives, including personal care, eating, drinking, and mobility if necessary.
• Be responsible for the safe administration of Service Users' medication, following relevant training.
