Job summary

Aberdeen City Council is recruiting for a part-time care role across Aberdeen City. The post involves providing high-quality person-centred care to service users in a variety of settings, including homes.

You will work as part of a team to support carers and promote wellbeing, independence, and safety. Applicants must meet PVG requirements, have a UK driver’s license where applicable, and be able to use smartphones and iPads for record-keeping and communication.

Qualifications

• Ability to provide personal care to service users.
• Promote dignity, respect, choice and independent living.
• Effective communication and partnership with service users, staff, carers and professionals.
• Work as part of a team and provide guidance to others.
• Proactive work with limited supervision and know when to refer to a senior manager.
• Accurate handling of records and care plans including medication management.
• Meet deadlines and adapt to mobile technology (smartphones/iPad).
