McCarthy & Stone Ltd seeks a Relief Care Supervisor to support the management and smooth running of our community for active and independent older people in elegant private apartments. You will ensure safety, oversee care teams, and help run activities that foster community spirit.

The role requires care experience, a warm, organised, self-motivated approach, and a commitment to high standards of wellbeing for residents. Night and day shifts are included with a weekend uplift.

Job description

We are seeking a professional Relief Care Supervisor to exemplify the high-quality customer standards that we are renowned for. • You will live within easy commuting distance of our estate.
• You will be a warm, friendly, organised, and self-motivated individual with experience of working in a care or support environment and excellent care skills.
• You will want to work in the Health and Social care sector and preferably have a QCF Health and Social Care (Adults) Level 3 qualification, although consideration will be given to a candidate with alternative qualifications and relevant experience.
• Keen to take on the responsibility of managing the security of the development, looking after the safety and wellbeing of the homeowners, and overseeing the Care and Support teams.
• Able to co-ordinate and facilitate activities that help strengthen the community spirit within the development.
• Driven to continue to grow their skills and will want to lead by example and think on their feet.
• Able to make a difference to the wellbeing and happiness of older people. Hourly rate: £15.24 per hour day shifts and £12.24 per hour SLEEPING night shifts. Plus earn an additional £1 per hour for every hour worked from midnight Friday, to midnight Sunday.
• Hours: To cover shifts on an 'as and when' basis when required, to be discussed with the development Manager. Our day shifts vary between 08:45 and 16:30 or between 16:15 to 09:30. Our night shifts are from 21:30 to 09:00am Our Relief Care Supervisors sleepbetween 23:00pm and 07:00am providing emergency support only to our homeowners throughout that period.
