Job summary

McCarthy & Stone are recruiting a professional Relief Care Supervisor to join our Whitaker Grange development in Ossett, West Yorkshire. This role supports the management and smooth running of a thriving community of independent older people, ensuring safety, wellbeing and high-quality care.

Shifts include days from 08:45–16:30 and nights 21:30–09:00 with enhanced rates and opportunities for funded training and development.

Qualifications

• Experience of working in a care or support environment and excellent care skills.
• Ability to manage security and safety for residents and oversee Care & Support teams.
• Willingness to lead by example and develop skills with funded training.

Responsibilities

• Manage the security and safety of the development and wellbeing of homeowners.
• Oversee Care and Support teams to deliver high-quality care and support.
• Coordinate activities that foster community spirit within the development.

McCarthy & Stone are recruiting a professional Relief Care Supervisor to join our team at our prestigious Whitaker Grange developmentin Ossett, West Yorkshire

Hourly rate: £15.24 per hour day shifts and £12.24 per hour SLEEPING night shifts. Plus earn an additional £1 per hour for every hour worked from midnight Friday, to midnight Sunday.

Hours: To cover shifts on an 'as and when' basis when required, to be discussed with the development Manager.

Our day shifts vary between 08:45 and 16:30 or between 16:15 to 09:30.

Our night shifts are from 21:30 to 09:00am

About you:

• You will live within easy commuting distance of our estate.
• You will be a warm, friendly, organised, and self-motivated individual with experience of working in a care or support environment and excellent care skills.
• You will want to work in the Health and Social care sector and preferably have a QCF Health and Social Care (Adults) Level 3 qualification, although consideration will be given to a candidate with alternative qualifications and relevant experience.
• Keen to take on the responsibility of managing the security of the development, looking after the safety and wellbeing of the homeowners, and overseeing the Care and Support teams.
• Able to co-ordinate and facilitate activities that help strengthen the community spirit within the development.
• Driven to continue to grow their skills and will want to lead by example and think on their feet.
• Able to make a difference to the wellbeing and happiness of older people.
