Job summary

McCarthy & Stone Ltd is seeking a Relief Care Supervisor to support a thriving community of active, independent older people at Roslyn Court, Chalfont St Peter, near London. You will cover day and sleeping night shifts with a focus on high-quality care and safety.

The role requires experience in care, good communication, and organisational skills; a QCF Health and Social Care Level 3 is preferred. UK-based applicants only; sponsorship not offered.

Job Introduction

McCarthy & Stone are recruiting a professional Relief Care Supervisor to join our team at our prestigious Roslyn Court developmentin Chalfont St Peter

Hourly rate: £15.75 per hour day shifts and £12.24 per hour SLEEPING night shifts. Additional supplemental £10.53 per sleep shift Plus earn an additional £1 per hour for every hour worked from midnight Friday, to midnight Sunday.

Hours: To cover shifts on an 'as and when' basis when required, to be discussed with the development Manager.

Our day shifts vary between 08:45 and 16:30 or between 16:15 to 09:30.

Our night shifts are from 21:30 to 09:00am

Our Relief Care Supervisors sleep between 23:00pm and 07:00am providing emergency support only to our homeowners throughout that period .

About you

• You will live within easy commuting distance of our estate.


• You will be a warm, friendly, organised, and self-motivated individual with experience of working in a care or support environment and excellent care skills .


• You will want to work in the Health and Social care sector and preferably have a QCF Health and Social Care (Adults) Level 3 qualification, although consideration will be given to a candidate with alternative qualifications and relevant experience.


• Keen to take on the responsibility of managing the security of the development, looking after the safety and wellbeing of the homeowners, and overseeing the Care and Support teams .


• Able to co-ordinate and facilitate activities that help strengthen the community spirit within the development.


• Driven to continue to grow their skills and will want to lead by example and think on their feet.


• Able to make a difference to the wellbeing and happiness of older people.
