Job summary

McCarthy & Stone are recruiting a professional Relief Care Supervisor to join our team at King Fisher Court development in Taunton, Somerset. This role covers day shifts (£15.24 per hour) and sleeping night shifts (£12.24 per hour) with a weekend uplift.

Hours are on an as-needed basis, managed with the Development Manager. The position requires living within easy commuting distance, excellent care skills, and experience in health and social care.

Qualifications

• Experience of working in a care or support environment.
• QCF Health and Social Care (Adults) Level 3 qualification preferred.
• Live within easy commuting distance of Taunton estate.
• Organised and self-motivated with excellent care skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage and support the Care and Support teams to ensure high-quality service.
• Oversee security, safety and wellbeing of homeowners.
• Coordinate activities to strengthen community spirit in the development.

McCarthy & Stone are recruiting a professional Relief Care Supervisor to join our team at our prestigious King Fisher Courtdevelopmentin Taunton, Somerset

Hourly rate: £15.24 per hour day shifts and £12.24 per hour SLEEPING night shifts. Plus earn an additional £1 per hour for every hour worked from midnight Friday, to midnight Sunday.

Hours: To cover shifts on an 'as and when' basis when required, to be discussed with the development Manager.

Our day shifts vary between 08:45 and 16:30 or between 16:15 to 09:30.

Our night shifts are from 21:30 to 09:00am

Our Relief Care Supervisors sleep between 23:00pm and 07:00am providing emergency support only to our homeowners throughout that period .

About you:

• You will live within easy commuting distance of our estate.
• You will be a warm, friendly, organised, and self-motivated individual with experience of working in a care or support environment and excellent care skills .
• You will want to work in the Health and Social care sector and preferably have a QCF Health and Social Care (Adults) Level 3 qualification, although consideration will be given to a candidate with alternative qualifications and relevant experience.
• Keen to take on the responsibility of managing the security of the development, looking after the safety and wellbeing of the homeowners, and overseeing the Care and Support teams .
• Able to co-ordinate and facilitate activities that help strengthen the community spirit within the development.
• Driven to continue to grow their skills and will want to lead by example and think on their feet.
• Able to make a difference to the wellbeing and happiness of older people.
