Job summary

Riverside is seeking a Relief Worker in Maidstone to provide high quality, customer-led services within supported housing. You will work under the scheme manager and support team to promote dignity, health and wellbeing, while maintaining confidentiality and accurate records.

The role requires compassion, patience, and a strong customer focus with excellent communication. Flexibility for shifts and a proactive team player attitude are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience of working with people from various backgrounds and sectors of society.
• Compassionate, patient, reliable and empathetic.
• Customer focused with excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
• Flexible and approachable with a positive attitude.
• Excellent team player who can work flexibly to meet business requirement.
• Basic literacy and numeracy skills.
• Knowledge of safeguarding adults at risk procedure.
• IT skills including Word and Excel and willingness to learn Riverside IT systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide a high quality, customer-led service to customers in supported housing.
• Assist in providing support to customers under direction of the scheme manager and support team.
• Maintain dignity and promote health and wellbeing in a safe environment.
• Foster effective communication with customers and colleagues.
• Encourage independence and social engagement for customers.
• Maintain accurate, up-to-date records.
• Ensure confidentiality of customer information.
• Undertake training and development as required.
