Job summary

Riverside is seeking a Relief Worker - Care Assistant to provide attentive personal care to residents at Harbour Place, Workington. You will work as part of a compassionate team, following individual support plans, and ensuring dignity and comfort for residents with varying needs.

The role requires flexibility, experience in a care setting, and knowledge of safety regulations. This is an on-site, as-needed position with opportunities to make a meaningful impact in the community.

Qualifications

• Experience in a customer-focused residential environment providing personal care.
• Awareness of housing and Health and Safety legislation and regulation National Care Standards.
• Flexibility to work hours to meet customer and business needs, including lone working.

Responsibilities

• Work with residents to provide personal care following support plans (showering, grooming, toileting).
• Assist with meals, mobility, and daily activities to maintain quality of life.
• Recognise distress signs and respond in a respectful, person-centred way.
• Maintain clean, safe living spaces and report changes to the team.
• Communicate clearly with residents, families, and colleagues to ensure continuity of care.
