Job summary

Riverside is seeking a Relief Worker - Care Assistant to support residents with personal care and daily living tasks at Harbour Place, Workington. The role requires compassionate care, flexibility in hours, and adherence to care plans under Riverside’s policies.

You will contribute to a person-centred environment, monitor residents’ wellbeing, and work with colleagues to ensure safety and dignity in all activities.

Qualifications

• Experience of working in a customer focused, residential environment, offering personal care to a diverse group of people.
• An awareness of housing and Health and Safety legislation and regulation National Care Standards Awareness
• Flexibility to work hours to meet customer and business needs, which may include working outside of normal office hours and lone working

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care to residents in line with care plans and maintain quality of life.
• Work with the team to identify and address residents’ needs with a person-centred approach.
• Deliver and enable residents to meet aspirations within their individual support plans.
• Maintain detailed records of care and medication support provided.
• Safely assisting with mobility, continence management and daily activities.
• Communicate clearly with residents, families and professionals to support wellbeing.
