An established health and social care organisation is looking to recruit a Relief Advisor / Responder to provide person-centred support using a combination of technology-enabled care and direct response support.
The role involves supporting individuals with a range of needs, including mental health needs, disabilities and addictions, helping them remain safe and independent within their own homes and communities.
As an Advisor, the successful applicant will provide remote support using video and digital technology. Calls can range from general reassurance and medication reminders to supporting individuals experiencing distress or a deterioration in their wellbeing.
As a Responder, the successful applicant will provide practical out-of-hours support when required, including responding to alarms, personal care requests, falls, wellbeing concerns and other support needs.
The successful applicant may be required to:
Provide compassionate, person-centred remote and face-to-face support
Respond appropriately to alarms, falls, personal care and wellbeing concerns
Provide reassurance and support during periods of distress
Provide medication prompts where appropriate
Monitor technology-enabled care systems and respond to alerts
Promote independence, choice, dignity and wellbeing
Recognise and report safeguarding or adult protection concerns
Respond appropriately to incidents and emergency situations
Maintain accurate support records and update individual support plans
Work collaboratively with colleagues, families and health and social care professionals
Provide basic technical support relating to care technology

Able to communicate confidently with people who have different support needs
Capable of responding calmly and appropriately to challenging or unexpected situations
Reliable and able to work independently as well as part of a team
Flexible and willing to work across Wishaw and Glasgow when required
Available for a range of shifts, including night and out-of-hours work
Please note: The Advisor element of the position can involve extended periods of sitting and screen time.
