Job summary

Ecolab, Purolite Resins in Llantrisant, Wales, seeks a Mechanical Maintenance Technician to join the UK Engineering team. You’ll maintain, troubleshoot, and optimise mechanical systems and plant equipment to support safe production.

You’ll carry out preventative maintenance, inspections, and RCA on failures, document in the CMMS, and work with process engineers on improvements. Shift pattern 4 on/4 off, 12-hour days.

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical maintenance background in industrial plant
• Experience with fault finding and repair of pumps, gearboxes and seals
• Understanding of UK safety regs (PSSR, PUWER)
• Ability to read complex mechanical drawings and P&IDs
• Proficiency with CMMS for logging work and spares
• Able to write clear technical reports and procedures
• Willingness to work at heights and in confined spaces
• No Immigration Sponsorship available

Responsibilities

• Maintain Llantrisant facility mechanical and rotating equipment.
• Carry out preventative maintenance and site inspections.
• Update maintenance procedures and regulatory documentation (PSSR/PUWER/LOLER).
• Follow PTW system and produce RAMS for tasks.
• Collaborate with engineers on RCA and improvements.
• Record all maintenance work in CMMS for audit trail.
• Deliver clear shift handovers and ensure safety.
• Provide remote support and be available for call outs.
• Perform other duties as required by management.
• Work 12-hour shifts (4 on/4 off) on site.
