Job summary

Wagstaff Recruitment is seeking a Maintenance Technician in Ebbw Vale to support production, perform preventive maintenance and respond to breakdowns. You’ll join an established manufacturing team with a focus on engineering processes and continuous improvement, including involvement in project work and installation tasks.

The role offers a four-day week, a clear path for professional development, and on-site training to enhance skills in instrument control, electrical and mechanical disciplines.

Qualifications

• Time-served apprenticeship completed.
• ONC or equivalent qualification.
• Multi-skilled electrical qualification with demonstratable mechanical experience.
• Experience with instrumentation, inverter drives, and control systems.
• Able to diagnose faults and perform repairs.

Responsibilities

• Provide support to production operations in all issues.
• Carry out shift to shift activities by prioritising productions needs as directed by the Maintenance Supervisor.
• Engage as a member of the multi-skilled Engineering team, working with the team to continuously improve the maintenance function.
• Diagnosis and resolution of equipment breakdown issues.
• Involvement in projects, plant improvement and equipment manufacture.
• Execute Planned Preventative Maintenance activities.
• Provide site support for the building and facility maintenance and security.
