Job summary

Scottish Leather Group in Bridge of Weir seeks a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to sustain reliability and performance across our manufacturing site. You will perform planned, preventative, predictive, and reactive maintenance on electrical and mechanical equipment, minimising downtime and driving continuous improvement.

Working with the Engineering Manager and Production teams, you will diagnose faults, implement safe repairs, maintain CMMS records, and support KPI reporting.

Qualifications

• Time-served or SVQ Level 3 in an engineering discipline.
• Experience carrying out electrical and mechanical maintenance in manufacturing.
• Strong technical knowledge across mechanical, electrical, hydraulic systems.
• Ability to diagnose faults, solve problems, and work under pressure.
• Proactive, self-motivated and committed to continuous improvement.
• Team player with good communication across Engineering, Production and Operations.
• Organised, safety-conscious and able to use CMMS to record work.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned, preventative, predictive, and reactive maintenance on electrical and mechanical equipment.
• Respond to equipment breakdowns with fault diagnosis and safe, efficient repairs.
• Support continuous improvement by improving plant reliability and performance.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and performance data in CMMS.
• Collaborate with Production and Engineering teams to prioritise tasks.
• Ensure all work is completed safely and in line with procedures and standards.
• Share knowledge with the wider team and uphold high housekeeping standards.
