Job summary

Partner Services Scotland Ltd in Scotland is seeking a skilled Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to provide expert support across a high-volume production facility. The role is hands-on, involves problem-solving, precision work, and daily engagement with running machinery to keep production moving.

You will perform planned, reactive and preventive maintenance on mechanical equipment, diagnose faults, and implement robust solutions.

Qualifications

HNC/HND in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
Experience in fast-paced manufacturing environments.
17th Edition IET Regulations qualification.
Experience with steam boilers, compressors, pumps, valves.
Advanced workshop capability: turning, milling, drilling, tapping, helicoiling, pipefitting, welding.
Proven track record delivering engineering improvements in production settings.
Self-motivated, proactive problem-solving mindset.

Responsibilities

Carry out planned, reactive, and preventative maintenance on mechanical equipment.
Diagnose mechanical faults quickly and implement long-term solutions.
Support continuous improvement initiatives and process optimisation.
Maintain and repair steam systems, compressors, pumps, valves, conveyors, and weighing systems.
Produce, modify, and repair components using workshop machinery and fabrication tools.
Ensure all work is completed safely and in line with standards.
Collaborate with production teams to reduce downtime and enhance performance.
Maintain maintenance records and contribute to planning.
